  1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows.

The HP saga just keeps on maturing! What an epic treat, and a nice dramatic build up to the finale. The teen trio have impressed me once again, delivering a performance that always trumps their last.

Movie versus the book? Fuck that. I couldn’t care less. I had my doubts about this series… It proved me wrong.

The dark forces? silent and menacing as always. The eerie texture and treatment were just perfect, and created a suspenseful atmosphere. Another solid and mature Potter by director David Yates.

My thoughts (one word) on the HP films:

    Philosopher’s Stone - Disappointment

    Chamber of Secrets - Mediocre

    Prisoner of Azkaban - Amazing

    Goblet of Fire - Thrilling

Order of the Phoenix - Mysterious

    Half-Blood Prince - Intriguing

Deathly Hallows: Part 1 - Mature

    Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - ???

C’mon 2011!!! It’s gonna be one hell of a year for cinema. Part 2 will close the books and seal down what has been a 10 year epic adventure. Tears will be shed once the curtains close, but before that happens… “the end” will surely have one last bang for audiences.

I started as a doubter and now a believer. Goddamn wizards.
