Snowtown (2011)
Based on true events, 16 year-old Jamie falls in with his mother’s new boyfriend and his crowd of self-appointed neighborhood watchmen, a relationship that leads to a spree of torture and murder.
Based on a true story and the books: The Snowtown Murders by Andrew McGarry and Killing for Pleasure by Debi Marshall.
Disturbing! and a brutal Aussie flick by director Justin Kurzel. The horror of humanity.
Trapped in a world of violence and sexual frustrations. John is a sick motherfucker. Come Jaime join John in the dark side. This brings up WHY vigilantes are a threat to society.
The “Bodies in Barrels” murdersstory of the most famous Australia serial killer John Bunting.
The acting was SUPERB! You can feel they went “all in” on their performances. Everyone played their part well and delivered one of the most traumatizing films from down under.
Rape, pedophilia and murder. The pacing was a bit slow, but the weight of the issues tackled kept me glued. You just know in the back of your head “This will not end well” - for our characters.
TRIVIA: More than 250 suppression orders prevented publication of details of this case. In early 2011, a judge lifted the remaining orders in response to a request by the producers of the film Snowtown, a dramatic account of the murders.
Deep and brave in many ways. Not an award winning piece, one that opens eyes. Clean and properly done.
Abuse in it’s purest form. Evil camouflaged. Mankind at its worst.

Little Johnny the Movie (2011)
Celebrates the wrongest jokes ever told. It’s a coming of age story that’s brimming with irreverent humor, larger-than-life characters, and crackling action to boot! It will remind you of the great cartoons of yesteryear.
There are Aussie films and there are Aussie ‘Toons!!!
Ah yeah, fuck yeah, let’s curse ya!?! Leave it to the naivety of a young boy, with a foul mouth.
Witty with a dash of “fuck” and timing. A full length film, chopped into nice snippets of stand-up. Definitely not for kids.
The poster and the plot synopsis has great claims… fuck that. I had high hopes and was left short changed. It’s funny, but it ain’t that good. I hated the rooster bits… juvenile.
The animation was/is CRAP. Watch it for the humor/content.

X (2011)
Holly Rowe’s retiring, kissing her callgirl life goodbye. She just has to get through her last night on the job. Shay Ryan’s a teenage runaway, broke and alone. She just has to get through her first night as a hooker. Then fate throws them together on a job that goes horribly wrong and they’re trapped on an out-of-control roller coaster ride, through the twilight zone of sex-for-sale.
Bold! A surprisingly good sex thriller from down under, Written and directed by Jon Hewitt.
A simple story told well, that’s the best way to explain this raunchy crime thriller. Typical but nevertheless entertaining. This isn’t an award winning film, it will pass the time.
The woman you love to hate! Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010) resident blond bitch Viva Bianca seduces brilliantly in this one. And with a smokin’ hot bod to boot! She carried this quite well alongside newcomer Hanna Mangan Lawrence. Both actresses were stunning! - in a whore-ish way.
Love, money, hope, drugs, violence against women and some fucked up shit with cops. A little drama for the ladies and some boobs for the guys.
