  1. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009)

A traveling theater company gives its audience much more than they were expecting.

Was better a second time around! I was upset (with the theater) the first time i reviewed THIS.

Lily Cole = love at first sight! She had he glued to the screen. She’s like a Nymph or an Angel. Funny how her model height showed (was obvious) in some scenes.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger. This was unfinished work, that was finished - with the help of some noteworthy talent/friends. Kudos to you all gentlemen (Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell). The adjustment to keep this film going was truly remarkable/clever, and was a great “tribute” to Ledger.

Terry Gilliam is a fantasy GENIUS!

Superb Movie! from the guy who wrote such messed up films (Tideland, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas & Brazil) This was a great TRIBUTE to HEATH LEDGER. Felt a little half-baked, due to the loss of Ledger, but the film was saved by his co-actors who stepped in his shoes. FUN MOVIE!

MY PROBLEM: I HATE watching in cinemas, i like getting sucked in the movie and SILENCE. Anyways, A friend treated me, and we watched at Greenbelt 3. “Why are there english SUBTITLES throughout the whole movie?!?!” It is an ENGLISH film spoken in ENGLISH. Not only was that a distraction, the film itself looked like…well… A Pirated copy! it was so bad, both audio and visual were raped! WTF?!? I posted my disgust as soon as i got home. people responded saying it was like that in some cinemas. WHY?!?!? i just don’t get it. CINEMAS are suppose to be the REAL DEAL when it comes to movies, right?

Will Cinemas be overthrown by home entertainment systems/dvds/technology? I always thought the Theaters had the best quality, that’s why movies come out there first. Is it me or are things just…weird…
