  1. Puncture (2011)

A David and Goliath law drama about a drug-addicted lawyer who takes on a health supply corporation while battling his own personal demons.

Based on a true story. - Weiss and Danzinger had been approached by an inventor having trouble selling a safety syringe due to a major industry needle maker and hospital group purchasing organizations pushing back against the introduction of the new, safer syringes.

A medical courtroom drama directed by Adam & Mark Kassen.

Our hero! Why so serious? Chris Evans, takes things to the next level. Reinventing himself as a dramatic actor, and doing it well. Had to shake off his comedic quirks outta my head. Evans is here! His partner Mark Kassen was the Yin to his Yang.

Drugs and law, the perfect combination when dealing with the crooked and deceitful opportunists. I was not expecting much from this film… this caught me off guard. The issue of “clean” needles is something we glance at and ignore. Well it’s on screen now… Learn.

This is something people need to know about. Instead of going through the “real life docu approach” the filmmakers have given some beauty to this ugly world we live in.

People are held back by brutes in politics and greedy medical institutions wrapped in the finger of the powerful and abusive.

A thrilling story backed up by respectable acting, produced excellently. A little something with meat and brain fodder.

  2. Hot Coffee (2011)

The McDonald’s coffee case has been routinely cited by the media as an example of how citizens have taken advantage of the legal system. We will show how this case became so popular in the media, who funded the effort and to what end. We will tell the truth and let the audience decide if spilling hot coffee is really as profitable as they might otherwise believe.

“The story of the old lady who sued McDonald’s and won millions” - What the fuck is this stupidity?!? NOW i know the TRUTH. I’m the stupid one…

Interviews, newscast clips, experts and victims telling their side. The coffee lady DESERVED the cash. Sometimes the stories you hear/read/see aren’t what they seem. There is more truth in the truth.

    Lawsuit Lottery and Accountability.

A bundle of political insights talking about: Tort, Caps, Arbitration and a laundry list of issues. Money makes the world go round - once again. The judiciary process is disrupted, shuffled and played with by men with

  3. Unknown (2011)

A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

The Bourne Oldtimatum! A “who am i?” thriller shadowed by lies and betrayal directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Who truly stunned and impressed horror/thriller fans with Orphan (2009). This time around he takes on a crime/mystery/thriller.

The story keeps you guessing to the very end… middle (to folks familiar with this story). Because it can only be one or the other, either he’s a good guy or a bad guy. A man can only be judged by his actions.

The characters were great! I wanna have a Russian accent. Our hero Liam Neeson, did great as usual/expected. The women in his lives Diane Kruger and January Jones did an equally good job, along with the supporting cast of sinister characters.

Not as flashy and action packed as like the other films of the genre. But this was good.

  4. Burke And Hare (2010)

A black comedy about two 19th century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school.

It’ll cost an arm and a leg! A nice based on a not so true story about the dark side of the medical profession.

Death is a lucrative business. At the beginning it reminded me of I Sell the Dead (2008), in need of bodies. But this film had loads more to offer. This also had some similarities (atmosphere) with From Hell (2001). A bit of a horror, some great comic bits and a well rounded cast.

Simon Pegg and Gollum Andy Serkis are the misfit duo who find themselves caught between making a living and the politics behind (developing) medical practice.

The townsfolk and doctors comprise of great talent such as Isla Fisher, Christopher Lee, Tim Curry, Bill Bailey and Tom Wilkinson.

This was a good Brit horror comedy, with some drama about learning from life decisions. Not sure if everyone will like the humor. A bit slow paced towards the end and the humor is an all-out-laugh. Did i mention gore? Yeah, there’s lots of it!
